CALL TO ORDER: Jackie Cushman

Jackie called our meeting to order. Forty-six members were in attendance. Jackie thanked our hostesses and mentioned that the meeting was in honor of Betty Smith, who we lost this year.

APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES: Jackie Cushman

As there were no corrections to the meeting minutes from October’s meeting, they were approved as submitted.

WEBSITE UPDATE AND DIRECTORY PHOTOS: Margaret Warren

The website member directory is under construction while the head shots are added. Guerry Redmond will be at the January meeting to take the remainder of the photos. Those that have not had their headshot taken should come early. Once all of the headshots are uploaded, the site will go live. Those that have not created a username and password should do so as soon as possible.

SPEECH SCHOOL WORKDAY:  Terri Alston

The workday at the Speech School is scheduled for Tuesday, November 18th at 10am. Please bring your rakes, gloves and clippers. Terri passed a sign up sheet and will send an email reminder about the workday. Stout Irrigation has been to the garden for the second time to fix the irrigation system and hopefully all issues are resolved.

ATLANTA HISTORY CENTER UPDATE: Jackie Cushman

Jackie read an email from Sarah Roberts at the Atlanta History Center. They replaced 2 major beds at Veterans Park.

AMARYLLIS PROJECT: Esther Garges

Today (November 11th) is the last day to order a kit and those who have not yet ordered one should see Esther after the meeting. She will email a central pickup location when the kits arrive as she may not be able to hand-deliver all of them.

OTHER BUSINESS: Jackie Cushman

Jackie gave a reminder that annual dues are due now. Members can give their $50 checks to Jackie, mail checks to Sandy Jones, or pay online. There will not be a meeting in December. The next meeting will be January 27th at the Speech School. It is our annual business meeting, so please try to attend. Jackie Cushman announced there would be a drawing for a door prize after lunch. The meeting concluded for lunch and a wine tasting after hearing from Martha and John Ezzard of Tiger Mountain Vineyards.

Respectfully submitted,

Maggie Fischer
