Minutes: February 24, 2015

Jackie welcomed the group and opened the meeting for business.

The minutes were read and approved per changes suggested.

  • There were no Speech School updates.
  • Late fee waived until March 1: Sandy Jones
  • High opening: floral arrangements inspired by art.
  • Parken Tekin report:

No growth in quarry garden. Pond frozen/ Sanding bridges, etc. for accessibility

Candlelight nights for Christmas party: homes lit up/prop on-site: singers and  drinks

Want to add garden this year – lights on waterfall/trees.

Changes at History Center, especially Cyclorama: article regarding changes will  be sent to members

  • Esther Garges report: Amaryllis project

Grand prize is dues for next year

March 10 is deadline to send pictures

  • Mary Huntz report: Field trip to Gibbs Gardens: Scheduled for April 1 or 8 – which works best?

$18 pp (group rate), trams runs all day $5 extra
